MEMO TO: THE CALEDON SKI CLUB MEMBERSHIP
As you are well aware, there have been numerous confirmed cases of the COVID-19 Virus within the Greater Toronto Area, throughout Canada, in the United States and in many parts of the world. In light of the COVID-19 Virus outbreak, the health and safety of our Caledon Ski Club family are our paramount priorities. We must collectively take prudent action to prevent, minimize or mitigate the likelihood of transmission of the COVID-19 Virus.
We all play a vital role in stopping or lessening the spread and impact of the COVID-19 Virus and we therefore ask our Members, employees, and guests to join our health and safety efforts and follow the directives and recommendations below:
Our plan is based on the premise of mitigating risk through ‘social distancing’ that discourages close proximity of social gatherings (inside and outside), reduces the risk of transmission through food preparation etc., increased cleaning, while discouraging those attending the Club deemed vulnerable (60+ with existing health conditions) and/or those who have travelled outside the country within the past 14 days
The Caledon Ski Club is modifying operations in the following manner.
Outside
Lodge (Food / Beverage / Social Events)
Kid’s Club
Again, our plan is designed to prioritize health and safety, reduce the risk of transmission of the virus, while continuing to offer access and use of the Club - recognizing this may change as information / direction changes. As a Club, we take this situation very seriously, understanding the role we all play in reducing the spread of this virus – both at the Club and beyond.
All that said, we continue to look forward to a great March Break. As the weather becomes warmer and the snow becomes softer, the opportunity to continue to use the Club remains.
Thank you for your continued support during this challenging time. We must emphasize that this current plan is fluid and is a work in progress. Further adjustments to our directives and recommendations may be required as circumstances develop. We recognize that our directives and recommendations are a disruption and have an impact on Club activities, but again, please appreciate that the health and safety of our Caledon Ski Club family are our ultimate priorities. We will continue to update Members and our community on any changes via this email bulletin.
We will continue to keep you up to date with any related changes that may affect you and encourage Members to learn more using the information available through Public Health Services:
