RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, MARCH 26 DUE TO CLUB CHAMPS PART 2 ON MARCH 25

WELCOME TO THE 2023 CALEDON CUP 

The winning team based on time through our formula that allows for time deductions based on age and other factors.

Format:

  • Teams will consist of 4 Athletes
  • Any team that has a snowboard Athlete receives a 2% reduction in their cumulative time
  • Any team that has a telemark Athlete receives a 2% reduction in their cumulative time
  • Any team with an Over 70 Athlete receives a 2% reduction in their cumulative time
  • Any team with a U10 Athlete receives a 2% reduction in their cumulative time
  • Creative Team Names will be promoted. A panel of 5 Judges will determine the most creative Team moniker. Winning Team will receive a 5% reduction in cumulative time 
  • Best Costume Category. A panel of 5 Judges will determine the best Team costumes. Winning Team will receive a 5% reduction in cumulative time 
  • Above reductions are cumulative, and can be combined
  • There must be at least one member on each team!

Event Schedule:

Ultimate Obstacle Course-Roadrunner

  • Stubbies on a spine, bank, rollers, hay bails
  • Cumulative time for all 4 Team Athletes added to total time

 

Speed Trap-Bottom of Headstander

  • Scoring method would be to time each Athlete with the Brower. The cumulative time for all four Athletes is added to total time

Hold your Water-The Boogie

  • Each Athlete has a styro or plastic cup filled with a pre-determined amount of water
  • Stubbies set over the rollers
  • Each team adds their water into a measuring cup at the finish
  • Each ml counts for a 0.10 second deduction in total time
  • Covering of the cup by any method is prohibited
  • Transferring the water into any container, other than that of the Judge is prohibited

 

Ball Drop-West Hill Chair

  • Each Athlete receives 2 tennis balls
  • Balls are identified by a number associated with each Team
  • Each ball drop to land in the basket receives a 5.00 second deduction from their Total Time 

Way Out West PSL-West Hill

  • Timed PSL
  • Pro Bumps
  • Cumulative time for all 4 Team Athletes added to total time

 

Conclusion

The winning Team will be selected by the above calculations, based on lowest average team time. So, the formula is total Aggregate time for all events after deductions, divided by the Number of Athletes per Team.
