Opening Update" February 11th 2021

OPERATIONAL UPDATE

Earlier this week we were pleased to announce that our team is preparing to re-open the Club once the stay-at-home order is lifted by the Provincial Government.  The expected time for this is the week of February 22, 2021, and is subject to review by the Peel Medical Officer of Health and the Province.

We continue to remain hopeful that if we all do our part in the coming weeks; we’ll be back on the slopes as soon as possible.  Our industry and Club protocols are strong and we feel we are well prepared to resume operations safely for all participants and staff.

The Club will be looking to enhance the operating schedule based on the timing of the reopening.

We will communicate operating guidelines as we get a bit closer, but at this time we do know that if the Club resumes operation under the grey zone the following will apply;

  • Food & Beverage consumption will still only be permitted in your vehicles with those from your household.
  • Locker Room - Members will be permitted to access their lockers for equipment storage only – Members still may not change in the locker rooms.
  • Masks will be mandatory throughout the property at all times and must be fitted so they cover the nose, mouth and chin.
  • Chair Lifts - Families from the same household will be permitted to ride the lifts together.  Those not from the same household will be permitted to ride the chair with an empty seat in between.  Lift lines may not be longer than 10 minutes to prevent excessive gathering at the base of the slopes.  As such, Members are strongly encouraged to ride lifts with their entire family.
  • Guests – The Club expects that we will be able to offer a limited number of guests spots each operating day to immediate family of Members only.
  • Lessons - will not be permitted until the Region of Peel is in the red zone and then only private lessons are permitted.

If Peel Region returns to the colour coded framework in a red or different coloured zone, we will certainly adjust and communicate our plan as soon as we understand where the Region will be coded.

We remind you that RFID card pick-up is available at the West Lodge Wednesday to Sunday from 8:30am to 4pm.  Pick-up will also be available this Family Day – Monday February 15.  Please be reminded that you must complete your online waivers in advance.  The links to the waivers can be found below.

A reminder that if you are visiting the Club, skating by reservation, disc golf, cross country skiing in the field near the rink, hiking and Ice Stock remain available for our Members.

We thank you for your continued patience.  We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
